Together we will move toward a place of healing and growth.

Hi, I’m glad you are here! As a trauma informed therapist my goal is to help you move towards a place of self compassion and empowerment.

Hi, I’m Sam, a soon to be Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (currently waiting for my associate number) dedicated to helping individuals and families heal from trauma, rebuild safety, and rediscover their sense of strength.

Before beginning my work as a counselor, I spent nearly a decade serving in the United States Marine Corps, including six years as a Criminal Investigator. During that time, I witnessed firsthand the impact of trauma, domestic violence, and abuse—and I found myself drawn to the work of helping others recover and reclaim their lives. That experience shaped my deep commitment to supporting survivors and fostering resilience in those I serve today.

I have had the privilege of working with teens, adults, and families facing a wide range of challenges, including trauma, anxiety, relationship conflict, and life transitions. My background in domestic violence intervention and crisis response allows me to approach therapy with a calm, grounded presence—one that balances empathy with a clear understanding of safety, accountability, and empowerment.

In my counseling work, I integrate trauma-informed approaches and evidence-based techniques, always tailoring the process to meet each client’s unique needs. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can feel heard, understood, and supported as they work toward healing and growth.

I earned my Master of Education in Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College, graduating in August 2025. My clinical experience includes work with the Wellness & Prevention Center, the Holder Foundation, and the Hill Country Crisis Council—organizations committed to providing accessible, compassionate care for adolescents, families, and survivors of trauma and abuse.

As a counselor and veteran, I bring both structure and heart to my work—offering clients the strength of experience, the compassion of understanding, and the belief that healing is always possible..

I am currently supervised by Beth Holder, LMFT while working toward full licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
